Edo 2020: Six APC gov aspirants submit nomination forms
Six aspirants jostling for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State on Wednesday submitted their expression of interest and nomination forms.
Records from the office of the party’s National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibidiro, showed that as of 4.55 pm on Wednesday, Pastor Osazie Ize-Iyamu, Osaro Obazee, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Pius E. Odubu, Iduoriyekemwen, and Chris Ogiemwonyi have submitted their forms.
The reports has it that on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020, is the last day for the submission of forms while June 10th and 11th 2020, is the day set aside for the screening of aspirants preparatory to the party primaries on June 22.
The incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, a former Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, a two-term Majority Leader, Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Matthew Iduoriyekemwe, and former Minister of State for Works, Mr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, were among those who submitted their forms on Wednesday.
